Introduction
Machine Learning? If you are not familiar with programming and engineering, the first stereotype that comes to your mind is hooking robots with wires and connecting them to your laptops, well partly you are true.
Machine Learning is a subset of Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning is a subset of Machine Learning.
That clears everything up, right? So, I will end my article here, goodbye!
No, wait! There’s more to it :D
History of Machine Learning
It all began in 1950 with the Pioneers of Computer Science Alan Turing, in creating a Turing test, which became the ABC of how machines were classified as intelligent or not intelligent(dumb). To pass the test the “machine” must convince the human that it is not a machine.
The Turing test was made for machines, if these machines could convince you that they were not a machine, by performing intelligent tasks and of course not being visible to you physically, then it was deemed intelligent and would pass the Turing test, otherwise, the machines were considered unintelligent.
After that significant progress was seen and “intelligent” computer algorithms started making people’s lives easier, from recommending you a good movie and show (Netflix) to playing computer games with you (and sometimes beating you in it).
Conclusion
Owing to the great demand for AI and ML engineers that do not need any tech background to get started in it. You can start your journey by reading my article “Get Started in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, even if you have no tech background”.
